I was born in 1958 in the picturesque town of Morbach, nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Hunsrück. My school career began at the elementary school in Saarwellingen and continued subsequently at the elementary school in Nalbach. Early on, a certain curiosity and eagerness to learn became apparent in me, qualities that would accompany me on my further path. After elementary school, I went to a boarding school in Switzerland, where I not only deepened my academic education but also gained important experiences in interacting with other cultures and people.
After finishing school, I chose a versatile professional training path. Initially, I trained as a technical draftsman specializing in heating and sanitary systems, which provided me with a solid technical foundation. But that was just the beginning of my diverse qualifications: I then completed training as a retail salesman, cook, and restaurant specialist. Later, I expanded my knowledge further in the areas of system programming and web development. This broad training reflected my openness to different fields of work and my willingness to continuously evolve.
My professional career is as varied as my education. I worked for three years as a retail salesman before spending six years in the hospitality industry – both as a cook and as a restaurant specialist. This time shaped me not only professionally but also personally, as I learned a lot about teamwork and dealing with people. Afterwards, I switched to the IT sector and worked for five years as a system programmer for various companies worldwide. Already in the early 1990s, I began to intensively engage with web development in parallel – an area that continues to fascinate and accompany me to this day. In 2000, I decidedI finally decided to make my hobby, photography, my second pillar. Since then, I have specialized particularly in wedding photography and have been active worldwide as a wedding photographer for the past ten years.
Since my earliest childhood, I have been a passionate carnival enthusiast. Initially, I was merely a passive spectator at the numerous festivities and parades. However, a good friend eventually encouraged me to become actively involved – first as a photographer for various carnival clubs and societies. This activity opened up new perspectives for me and increased my enthusiasm for the carnival.
In September 2018, I officially joined the carnival society "die Rosselanos 1955 e.V.". From the very beginning, I felt warmly welcomed and appreciated here. Just a few months later, in January 2019, I was greatly honored to be appointed Senator of this traditional society – a recognition of my commitment and connection to the club. Since 2020, I have also taken on important responsibilities in the extended board: I am the press spokesman as well as the webmaster of the Rosselanos and thus actively contribute to the public relations and digital presence of our club.

For me, the Rosselanos are much more than an ordinary club; they have become a second family. Here, I find not only friends but also a place where you can always feel comfortable and rely on support. The community and togetherness create a sense of belonging and security that goes far beyond a simple club membership. In this atmosphere, one can develop personally, make new contacts, and experience unforgettable moments together. For me, the Rosselanos have therefore become an indispensable part of my life – they give me stability, joy, and enrich my daily life in many ways.
On October 25, 2025, I was honored with a very special distinction: I received the Chieftain's Order No. 48 the Carnival Society "Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V." – an award given only to deserving carnival participants, recognizing my long-standing commitment and deep connection to the club.
This honor fills me with great pride and sincere gratitude. It is for me not only a sign of recognition but also a valuable confirmation that passion, commitment, and community spirit are respected and appreciated in the carnival.
I am deeply grateful to the Rosselanos for this special award, which holds a permanent place in my heart.
More than "JUST" an association,
more like family
