Internal Summer Festival of KG Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V.

On July 13, 2024, our annual family festival took place. We celebrated within the club's circle on the grounds of the Marchingband VK. For the children, there was a large bouncy castle, water games, face painting, bracelet crafting, and a painting table. Our senator Willi da Silva Borges also took the opportunity to set up a photo wall.

Everyone enjoyed themselves with coffee and cake, delicious grilled food, a salad buffet, and various cold drinks. To everyone's surprise, each dancer received a sports bag, sponsored by the IG Wehrden and handed over by the 1st Chairman Patrick Becker, the event organizer Frank Kneip, as well as Anja Pukownick and Sven Hellriegel. Many thanks for your generous support!

Already in the morning, a charity run in support of the Saar Children and Youth Cancer Aid was held at the Geislautern sports field. The idea arose at the beginning of March when a club member had to undergo an examination in Homburg due to cancer. Tobias Heib and Ashley Kettschau developed the appropriate framework for the event. Charleen Schlöder handled the administrative part, such as registrations, and our youth leader Karsten Kettschau took care of the location. At this point, our thanks go to SV Geislautern for allowing the use of the sports field.

At 10 o'clock in the morning, a warm-up session took place with the trainers and supervisors. There was fresh fruit and drinks for all runners. Twenty of our children participated, energetically supported by their families. The performances the children showed were incredible. Full of enthusiasm and with plenty of energy and perseverance, they completed their laps. After each lap, they received a stamp on their bib number. The families had previously stated how many euros they would pay per lap completed by their child. One child actually managed 22 laps! Amazing! This allowed the total donation amount to be determined at the end: an incredible €2228.50! We are speechless! From children for children! What an achievement! We are incredibly proud of our children!
