Carnival youth enthusiasm in Völklingen-Wehrden
Völklingen-Wehrden, January 2026 – Originally launched as a digital online event in 2020 during the Corona period, today marked the third in-person event of the Kindernarrenschau by the VSK Youth in Völklingen-Wehrden. The organizer was the Karnevalsgesellschaft Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V.
The Kindernarrenschau has long since become a fixed part of the event calendar of the Saarland carnival season. This year as well, the young performers delighted with a colorful and captivating program of dance, music, and show. In total, 13 performances by 10 clubs were presented – an impressive testament to the diversity, creativity, and commitment of the carnival youth in Saarland.
Among the guests of honor were the Prince and Princess of the Year, Prince Wolfgang III and Princess Carina I of the Gold-Blue Funken Saarwellingen, who supported the young talents with much applause and showed visible delight at the wonderful performances. Numerous children's prince and princess pairs from friendly societies were also present, together creating a colorful, joyful, and lively picture of Saarland's carnival.
The VSK Youth and the KG Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V. sincerely thank all participating clubs, helpers, and the many visitors who made this event an unforgettable experience.
With the Children's Carnival Show 2026, it became clear once again how lively, diverse, and future-proof the Saarland carnival is – and that its young jesters are in excellent hands. The enthusiasm and community spirit of all participants impressively demonstrate that carnival in Saarland is more than just tradition – it is lived joy and connects generations.
