It is finally here! WKG Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V is on its way to Homburg to visit the Parents' Initiative for Children with Cancer.

In June 2024, two members of the club had the idea to organize a charity run in support of the Parents' Initiative for Children with Cancer.

So, after consulting with the board, all trainers and supervisors got to work! The youth officer, in collaboration with the football club Geislautern, secured the sports field for the run.

Thus, on 13.07.2024, about 25 children from the children’s and youth guard of the Wehrdener Carnival Club lined up at the start. Some children ran for more than 90 minutes, achieving an incredible 22 laps!
Of course, this made not only the parents but also all club members proud!

Thanks to the supervisor Tobias Heib, we were able to contact Michael Schneider, the chairman of the Parents' Initiative for Children with Cancer. Together with the three young dancers Jana Zwetzich, Elisa Dudek, and Amelie Jacob, the trainers Ashley Kettschau and Tobias Heib, the youth officer Karsten Kettschau, and the vice president Gerhard Ruppenthal made their way to Homburg.

There they were already welcomed by Michael Schneider and the housekeeper Sigrid Singer. The two showed the club members around the House of the Child and Youth and told them about the world of Villa Ekki and, of course, the story behind it.

After many emotional conversations, they were able to hand over their donation.

The children’s and youth guard raised an incredible donation of €2025.50 from their charity run! This is amazing!
